A little more about Apothecary and SALVES
Making the medicinal salves really satisfies my need to help people. I have always been someone who always had a tip on how to improve a symptom naturally. When my roommates were sick, I would go find them peppermint and start treating them with peppermint, when someone was burned, I would pull out the lavender. If someone was congested I'd grab the eucalyptus. There is something for most things, and I love to learn about what works best and to show people of the healthier alternatives when treating your ailments. There was a time when we didn't have pharmaceuticals, we had apothecary. Our ancestors used what the earth provided, it's out there! So I went on the venture of finding those ingredients and bringing them together for specific needs!
Another component of myself that complements the need to create, is the fact I enjoy helping people and taking care of people. I work in psychosocial oncology as my primary career, I dedicate my life to supporting those touched by cancer in some form or another. While I can't cure cancer, I can help direct patients in alleviating symptoms caused by treatment. Which has lead me down the path of wanting to produce apothecary products to take care of those I care for and around me. If I find a recipe I have put together that shows amazing results and great promise, I share it with the world! Some recipes that I find may be sporadically used, or is for a very small niche, I will provide here.
